Hello!
I have a problem with image projection or compatibility between my PC and the projector...
... "no signal"!
I need to project using a projector, both for movies, PowerPoints,... and for photography classes and other things.
But... impossible!
No image, well "no signal", even though both the PC screen and the projection screen turn off for 1/4 of a second when I press Windows+P or fn+f8 > duplicate, etc. So, there is definitely a signal being sent...
My PC is an Asus FX553VD-DM029T (Core i7, 16 GB RAM, 1024 GB Storage, Hybrid HDD/SDD, NVidia Geforce GTX 1050, Full HD, Windows 10)
I have an HDMI >> VGA converter (HAMA), because of course there are no more VGA ports on the latest PCs - and both projectors I use (one fixed in the ceiling for classes; the other a small portable Samsung) are both VGA... perhaps not super recent.
I fear an irreparable screen resolution incompatibility... or 32-bit vs 64-bit... or (yet another!) problem with Windows 10...?
The small projector seems to have a maximum resolution of 800x600... while my PC is set to... 1920 x 1080!
I even tried lowering it to 800x600, updated the drivers multiple times, restarted........ nothing :'(
I should mention that both projectors work with other PCs...
I've looked quite a bit... found nothing :'(
If anyone has a solution........ I'm all ears!
Help...
Thank you very much :)
Have a good evening!

Has anyone found a solution?
I just checked if the problem was with the VGA/HDMI converter, but no... on another PC with an HDMI input, everything works perfectly.
The problem is therefore my PC, or at least some of its settings probably... which ones??
(Graphics card "too" powerful...???)
Help please :)

I have the same problem with the projection, is there a solution for that?
I have extended the image, I see the projector as a second screen, but I cannot duplicate the image. Thank you.
