Calculating inheritance rights

Hello,

I am currently looking for a way to calculate inheritance tax regardless of the capital. I have little knowledge of office software and I'm just starting out on Excel, though I'm quite proud of having managed to create a spreadsheet for mortgage and consumer credits ;)

So, I need each of the following rates to be applied to the respective brackets, depending on the capital which will be variable:

≤ €8,072. 5%

€8,073 to €12,109 10%

€12,110 to €15,932 15%

€15,933 to €552,324. 20%

€552,325 to €902,838. 30%

€902,839 to €1,805,677. 40%

Above €1,805,677. 45%

Thank you in advance, and good luck—I’ve been working on this for 30 minutes myself =)

Best regards

Configuration: Macintosh / Safari 11.0.1

    Hello

Your capital in A2, formula for the first three brackets
    =IF(A2<=8072;A2*5%;IF(A2<=12109;8072*5%+(A2-8072)*10%;IF(A2<=15932;8072*5%+(12109-8072)*10%+(A2-12109)*15%)))
formula to be completed after 15% for the following brackets

you can simplify them a bit by replacing the "fixed" calculations with their result (e.g. 8072*5% = 403.6)

    Best regards

Hello everything works perfectly, but I don't understand cell B2 or "Attention. Corrected formula (8072 instead of A2)."

I don't understand cell B2 or "Attention. Corrected formula (8072 instead of A2)"
In B2 you have the formula (to be completed) which breaks down the estate into the tax brackets
If this formula seems too complicated to complete, you can instead use the range D2:I10 which details all the calculations bracket by bracket

For the rest, it was an error in my first formula, where 8072 is in bold it should have been A2

        Regards
