Hello everyone,
last night I installed unidentified software from an unknown developer, and I think I made a big mistake. During the installation, it wanted to modify a connection setting of the OS system; realizing my mistake, I deleted this software.
Two possibilities:
- either it modified a system file that prevents me from accessing the internet.
- or by deleting the software, I also removed a module, certificate, or launching agent that allows internet access...
In short, a huge blunder
I followed several Apple tips, namely, deleting the Wi-Fi network password, connecting to another Wi-Fi network, connecting via Ethernet, inspecting the disk utility, opening the wireless diagnostics, reinstalling OS High Sierra, searching for viruses...
Nothing works, everything seems operational, everything works except that "Safari cannot connect to the server," whether it's Chrome, the App Store... nothing connects
All my other devices work and are connected to the network, so I don't think it's the router's fault...
I'm reaching out to you in the hope of finding a solution
I have a mid-2010 MacBook Pro, version 10.13 High Sierra
Thank you!

Hello,
Just in case you've caught a malware/adware, install and run "MalwareBytes"
And if you have the name of what you downloaded, use EasyFind to perform a thorough search for hidden files, so you can eliminate them.
