Hello,
My Tomtom start 25 can no longer pick up GPS; After contacting Tomtom, the fees amount to €65 (too expensive) for a device that is 2 and a half years old (2-year warranty!). Do you have any ideas? Thank you for your response.

During the GPS startup, the screen lights up with an image representing the last location recognized by the device, and in the status bar, the phrase: waiting for satellite search. And nothing happens for hours with the same image, while driving.
I took a few steps in the street and the device started working again. The satellite search phrase no longer appears. I will try it in the car and keep you updated. In the meantime, it is more responsive than before and less frozen. Thank you for your help.
Hi, you probably mean that it no longer receives satellites; an update of the quickgpsfix file with my drive connect should resolve the situation.
Response to Massimo: there is indeed movement on the GPS state icon from the gyroscope.
Response to MPMP10: Yes, I made a backup with TomTom Home (thankfully). There is no reset hole on this device.
Since the last operation, the image is no longer frozen even when moving the device in all directions like before. It is "reviving."
Thank you for your advice.

There was a screen with white numbers on a black background. I turned off the device and then turned it back on. The screen shows the last recognized location with the message in the status bar "Waiting for a valid GPS signal."
So you should normally have a description of your TomTom model, otherwise it doesn’t look good; your navigation software is corrupted (I had the same case).
As a last resort, check under your GPS if there is a small hole called "Reset"; if so, press it with a toothpick (for 2 or 3 seconds) (I have this on mine).
Otherwise, after purchasing, did you make a backup with TomTom Home?
But if the software is corrupted, you will have to go through a repair, or otherwise the entry-level TomTom is 149 euros in supermarkets with a two-year warranty...

30 seconds of pressure and two months of struggle gone.......
