PS4 smoking

Hello,

I turned on my PS4 as usual to play, and after a few minutes of gameplay, it started smoking from the ventilation grilles. There was a smell, so I turned off the console.
I know this isn't normal, but I would like to avoid paying for a repair. Do you know what could cause this problem? And can it be resolved on its own??!

Configuration: Android / Chrome 60.0.3112.107

Hello,

Customer Service Department! You don't tinker with an electrical device without having a minimum of knowledge for obvious safety reasons...

Undoubtedly, your PS4 is placed in a spot that is too enclosed or not well-ventilated.
If it’s smoking, it will definitely need urgent repair, as there's probably a part or more that has burned out... or maybe the thermal paste on the processor needs to be replaced. Possibly the graphics card... in short, it could be anything, but in any case, take your PS to a repair shop or bring it back if it's still under warranty.

Well, just do nothing, drop it directly... tell them that suddenly, it smokes for no reason... and that the PS4 was placed in a well-ventilated area... just to avoid their suspicions, you never know... Sometimes sellers do everything not to take back defective equipment.
