Unable to disable EPSON Status Monitor 3 Solved

Hello,  Hello everyone,  I am on Windows 7 and would like to disable EPSON Status Monitor 3 for my Epson XP 225 printer.  I read: "Instructions:  Go to 'Start' > 'Settings' > 'Printers and Faxes'  Right-click on the relevant Epson printer  Then go to the 'Properties' tab > 'Printing Options' > 'Utilities' > 'Speed and Progress'  Click 'Disable Epson Status Monitor 3' and 'OK' "   BUT I can't find "Speed and Progress". my printer is "busy", the light on my printer is flashing.  my cartridges are still not recognized...  I don't know what to do :(

Hello,  Start → Settings → Printers and Faxes right click on the Epson printer Properties tab → Utilities  Then check if you have → Advanced Settings If yes, click on the image/logo  Uncheck the box → Enable EPSON Status Monitor 3 Also, the progress bar will be unchecked automatically  If needed → Restore defaults    pistouri

That's great, thanks I have a problem with non-original cartridges that are not recognized. Will this fix the problem? I'm rebooting my PC now ;)

It's better to use original cartridges despite the price It's designed for Recognizable by the photo of a bear when purchased in stores Non-original cartridges cause issues sooner or later or may not work at all → to be avoided Is it a budget question, I suppose?  -- pistouri

With the USB method:  Unplug the USB cable and the power supply (mains plug) Press and hold the power button (without releasing) Open and then close the ink cartridge cover Release the power button Reconnect the USB cable and the power supply  -- pistol

You just had to be patient, well, like always. But one last question: why disable status monitor 3 in this kind of case? As I saw on the Internet that it could be a solution. It didn't help me but I'm still wondering.  Thank you!
