Hello,
I have a problem with my printer.
I tried to print and the black ink is not printing anymore. There are streaks and incomplete letters, whereas last time it worked perfectly. The other colors are fine. I've done everything to clean, print head, alignment... I removed the cartridge and wiped it, turned off the printer and then turned it back on but nothing works.
Do you know where the problem might come from?
It's an HP Envy 564c
Thank you
Loryane

Hello,
Your clogged nozzle issue with the black ink is certainly due to lack of activity... You’re not printing enough...! and the ink is drying in the print head... You need to print a document rich in color every week.
To check the actual ink level, you need to remove the cartridge and look at it through transparency.... the level displayed on the PC is just an estimate calculated based on the number of pages printed... which doesn't mean that your tank isn't empty after all.
Cleaning is done with Cleaner or Flush solution in the same aisle as generic inks... You remove the black cartridge, then with a syringe without a needle, you place three drops of Cleaner solution at the bottom of the cartridge housing, on the spout, and also in the cartridge exit hole.... which you put back immediately after this action...
You let it sit for 24 hours before trying another nozzle cleaning and then a test print. You repeat as many times as necessary until printing works.... Otherwise, the printer needs to be replaced.

And as a bonus, you'll have learned some things about inkjet printers.
And thank you for your feedback... Best of luck.
