I have Ethernet sockets in my apartment: How to use them?

Hello,
I moved into a brand new apartment and some rooms have an ethernet socket.
My FreeBox is installed in the living room, the phone and internet are working fine (with Wi-Fi) except that when I plug my PC into a wall ethernet socket, nothing is detected.
In fact, I have no idea how these wall sockets work!
Do I need to do something beforehand?

Hello,
You need to find the main Ethernet port, where you should connect the Freebox so it can send data to the other Ethernet ports :-)

Thank you very much, but I have another question. I don't have a socket for a landline phone; does the internet socket replace it?
