Hello everyone!
I have an Epson EHTW550 projector that I use to project videos from my MacBook Pro and for my PS4 (games and DVDs), all through an HDMI cable.
The sound from the projector is really bad, and I wanted to connect speakers, but surprise! No audio output!
What could I do to separate audio and video? It has a USB-A port, USB-B, S-video, audio RCA, HDMI, and computer port.
My computer doesn't have a computer port.
The PS4 has HDMI, optical, USB, and AUX.
And if I don't use HDMI, will there be a video quality loss?
Thanks for your insights!

Hello, we never use the speakers of a projector, they are too weak. Your computer has an audio jack output, you can connect it to a sound amplifier with 2 speakers (a good old stereo system will do the job).
Your PS has an optical audio output and a line-out, which can also be connected to a sound amplifier.
Your projector has a resolution of 1280x720; in my opinion, it will be sufficient to compare a composite connection, which, although theoretically less performant, will not change much in quality.

I agree about using the jack on the computer, that's what I wanted to do first, but if I plug in the HDMI for video, the sound goes through the HDMI and ends up in the projector's speakers, despite the jack on the computer.
So I would need to use a cable that is only for video for the image, and I'm not sure what to use!
