I checked online and on the official KitKat site for the ROM, but I am a novice in this area and I'm afraid of messing things up. I feel like you're not responding correctly. We need the BRAND and the MODEL... for example, Samsung Galaxy Tab SM-T805 or something else. A ROM is not just Android 4.4 or so on... in my opinion, you bought a low-end tablet and you can't root it if you don't have the original ROM, a way to flash it, then a recovery, etc. That's something to check beforehand... so change your tablet for a supported brand.
