Hello, I have no sound when I connect my PC (tower) to my TV using the jack (green connector on the PC) and RCA (red and white on the TV). I am running Windows 7 and my tower does not have an HDMI port. Thank you for your help.

Configuration: Windows / Edge 14.14393

Hello and thank you for the link, but I don't have a problem with the image; I receive it thanks to the VGA port (at least I believe it's the one with the two screws). It's only a sound issue.

    Hello

Are you sure it is indeed an input sound on the TV, and not an output?

I don't really know, but when I connect a DVD player, for example, using these connections (with the yellow one as well), I get sound, so I don't understand why I don't have any with the computer.

        Re.

        >>> when I plug in a DVD player <<<

Yes, it's normal that it works.

On the other hand, in the audio settings of the PC, maybe you should disable the Windows sound and enable the TV device? (once it's plugged in, of course)

      Good evening,

On the PC, are you sure you selected the right source?
Right-click on the Speakers icon (near the clock)
      Then, select Playback Devices
Disable the Windows sound with a right click.
Finally, choose the jack source, right-click to activate, then Apply, then OK

      See you+

I cannot choose other sources; there is only Realtek High Definition Audio as the default device and nothing else.

"I have no problem with the image, I receive it thanks to the VGA port.
Did you plug the video into the VGA input of your TV? You have a female jack input next to it for audio, and it's the one that's active when you select the "VGA" input on the TV, so a 3.5mm jack <-> 3.5mm jack cable between PC and TV... quite simple.

My apologies, the connection used to link the tower to the television is an RGB (not VGA), however there is no jack socket on my television.

And what if you gave us the full reference of your TV?

So you connected the RGB output of the computer to the component input of the TV, like here on the left ports "component input" or "YUV"?

And the audio via red and white RCA with a Jack-> RCA cable? :

The jack/RCA connector, yes that's the one, but for the RGB input of the computer to the RGB of the TV.

" but for the RGB output of the computer on the RGB input of the TV"
You must mean the RGB output of the computer on the input RGB of the TV, anyway, you have the image...
For the sound, you need to turn up the audio volume of the computer, have you tried plugging headphones or speakers into the audio output jack of the computer?

Yes, RGB output from the computer to RGB input of the TV and I have sound from the computer by connecting the jack/RCA plug to my mini-chain, so I think the problem comes from the TV. I even managed to get sound on the TV with the jack/RCA cable (by changing the source), but then there was no image.
