This has been the case for ages: every summer, the tax notice arrives in the mailboxes of millions of French people. This year, many will wait in vain, having done nothing wrong. Here’s what has changed.

    The push for digitization is forcing part of the population to be left behind, particularly the elderly or those in precarious situations.

    This evolution unfortunately seems inevitable to me. The implementation of accompanying measures is essential at the municipal level and within neighborhood associations.

    Because the only alternative for these populations is to resort to a third party with the necessary competence: relatives, family, associations, municipal services, ...

    In any case, starting in 2026, there will be a loss for these populations of control over the management of their taxes.

    This dematerialization should be declared illegal, like so many others, unless the administration pays us, or compensates us, for the purchase of a computer, a printer and, above all, ink cartridges that cost a fortune and dry up and clog the nozzles when not used.

    I'm fed up with all these privileged people who imagine that everyone lives like them.

    Moreover, if we all have to equip ourselves, is it better for the planet?

      The rule for not only the tax assessment but also the declaration has long been digitalization, except for particular justifications, and for which, as the article specifies, one can always be helped by a number of counters/guichets.

      In the majority of cases this notice will also be transmitted digitally to whoever requests it, therefore without printing.

      The various laws or decrees are, depending on the case, the expression of the legislator or the government: they apply, and fortunately, outside the realm of petitions since the citizen has delegated them by his vote; unless one of these measures is unconstitutional, there is consequently only action through voting, but it remains doubtful in this case that any candidate would make it a centerpiece of his program.
