My Alcatel landline won't turn on.

Hello,

I recently bought a landline phone from Alcatel. I connected the charger, the power supply, and the phone jack. Since then, it stays charging as if the battery is not charging. Sometimes it shows "OUT OF RANGE" for a few seconds while making some noises. Otherwise, I don't know what's going on; I left it on the charger all night and the next day, the battery was still at zero. So I don't know if the phone has a problem..

If anyone has more information or could help me, that would be nice.. Thanks :)

    Hello,
What is the model of this Alcatel?
Are the batteries properly installed in the correct direction?
Is the outlet supplying the charger properly powered?

Yes, by the way, the problem is fixed, it was indeed the battery. But now I have a second problem: when I try to call, I don't hear any dial tone, it's as if it doesn't even dial. I need to plug the phone into the T socket, right? Or is there something else I might have forgotten to plug in?

Where to plug in the phone?
That obviously depends on your subscription contract.
If you have a contract for a regular line and a T socket, you should plug it into the T socket.
However, if your subscription is part of an "Internet + TV + phone" package, you need to connect it to the back of the box provided by your operator.
