Hello,
Having recently installed the latest version of a graphics driver, I have since encountered an error message when starting the PC. It says SYSTEM SERVICE EXCEPTION Atikmdag.sys.
The problem indeed comes from the driver.
The issue is that I do not have access to safe mode for some unknown reason, nor to the recovery system (the PC is running Windows 10). No matter what I do, I either reach the boot menu or the error message (I have tried a lot of things).
So, is there a trick that I don't know? Something to force safe mode so I can reinstall an older graphics driver? Or a manipulation to do from the BIOS?
Or have I been tricked by this driver? (downloaded from the AMD site, I might add) And do I only have the option to reinstall Windows?
I also tried to make a bootable USB drive with Windows 10 on it to load a driver from the installation, but no luck; the drivers I downloaded are not detected, but I'm not sure if I can load a driver other than one necessary for the Windows installation.
The PC in question is a GX 70, with an AMD Radeon HD 8970M, running on W10.
Thank you in advance for your responses.
Have a good day.

Hi, problem solved, with a bootable key made with Windows creation tool I accessed the command prompt in the "troubleshoot" menu.
I then entered the command:
bcdedit /set {bootmgr} displaybootmenu yes
This function displays a menu before starting Windows that gives us access to safe mode.
Then it's simple, safe mode, we uninstall the drivers.
We switch back to normal mode and reinstall the correct drivers!
