Hello,

I just restored a Packard Bell (model imedia S 1300), AMD Athlon processor running Windows 7 Home Premium.
All my drivers have logically been reinstalled except the network card (pci).
I have no network connection and my device manager indicates two missing drivers:

The 802.11 bg WLAN

Another PCI bridge device

Thank you in advance for your help.
Mirialisse.

Configuration: Windows 7 / Mozilla 11.0

Hello,

Try this driver --> nForce

Good evening,

I have tried the nForce driver but it's still the same.
The device manager is fine but there is no network connection.
However, when I plug in my Wi-Fi USB key, I find that the 802.11bg WLAN driver and the PCI bridge device are missing or not correct.
Maybe my Wi-Fi key is no longer working.

Go to start
In the search bar
Type --> devmgmt.msc and hit OK.

Provide the hardware IDs of the 2 devices
Right-click on the device
Properties
Details tab
Select the hardware ID.
It's a number that should look like this example:
--> PCI\VEN_1969&DEV_1026&SUBSYS.......
--> USB\.....
If necessary, look --> here

Is Windows 7 32 or 64 bits?

If the problem persists with the date, the motherboard battery will need to be changed.

Thank you Kaneagle for your help.

However, I just thought that apart from the network connection issue, I have other problems with this Packard Bell.
Notably, having to press F1 at startup (not logical) and the date that doesn't update and stays in 2010.
So I'm going to try formatting again to see, and I'll keep you posted as soon as possible.
I think it would be a good idea to proceed in order and prioritize resolving this date problem in particular.

Hello kaneagle,

I tried the complete restoration of the PC again, but it gets stuck on the 4th restoration CD,
it stays at 1% for hours.
So I have to admit that I’m giving up at this point.

Is it possible that the CD is defective?

If not, format and restart the Windows installation.

without the 4th CD it's impossible

it's stuck at 1%
so it makes me wait for hours
I don't think that's normal

Reformat and reinstall Windows.

I formatted the PC
but I confirm that the motherboard battery needs to be replaced
they are rivets and not screws

It's okay
I managed to open the tower but the battery was well hidden
I'll buy new ones this afternoon, I have the reference.
On the other hand, afterwards I think I need to update the BIOS and then ???
