Blurred photos in conversations

Hello,
for the past week, the photos I send or receive appear in very low quality in private conversations; once I click on them, they are blurry.
The issue is not present in albums, on my wall, or in the news feed.
I have tried several browsers, but nothing works.
I am forced to click on download to view the photos in good quality.
It’s quite annoying knowing that I mainly use Facebook as a photographer.
I found nothing in Facebook's FAQ.
Has anyone encountered the same issue and could help me please?

Configuration: Windows 7 / Firefox 46.0

Hello,
I haven't made any changes; the problem that has been persistent for a good week, I reported it last night - via the reporting section - and I received an -automatic- response shortly after.
I don't know if there is a connection between the two, but this morning everything is back to normal ;)
