Hello,

I have a strange problem; when I try to display a capital A using the ALT code, so Alt + 0144, it shows me . However, there are no issues with the French quotation marks « and ». The same problem occurs with the capital É...

I am on an HP laptop.

Do you have any idea where the problem might come from and how to fix it, please? Thank you!

Configuration: Windows 7 Ultimate / Firefox 46.0

    Hi

    In what software and/or application?

    The À is rather Alt+ 0192

Oh, it works with Alt + 0192... So do you have a website that explains it because I was using http://www.languefrancaise.net/forum/viewtopic.php?id=9689 before and it was working...

Simply use the "Character Map" tool in Windows

      Windows key + R key
      type charmap

Click on the desired letter, it enlarges and you have the code at the bottom right

    Hello,
    Alt+144 gives É but Alt + 0144 gives (nothing)
For À you need to do AltGr + key [7th`] release the keys then shift A

    or Alt + 183 also gives À

      Alt+144 gives É but Alt + 0144 gives (nothing)
For À you have to press AltGr + key [7è`] release the keys then shift A

      Hi

      Alt+ 0192 is much simpler
