Hello
I would like to know how to calculate a "Product's share in its range."
My table looks like this:
C4 "actual sales"
D4 "sales target achieved"
I need to calculate the product's share in its range??
I have done D4-C4, but should I express it as a percentage?
Thank you for your help.

Hello Nelly04310,
Your formula =D4-C4
gives the gap (in Euros) between actual sales and the expected target.
To know the share of sales compared to the expected target,
you need to perform a division: =C4/D4
It's better if you apply a percentage format to the result.
3 possible cases:
1) If actual sales are less than the target: Share < 100 %
2) If it's the same: Share = 100 %
3) If actual sales are greater than the target: Share > 100 %
Best regards. 😊

Good evening,
You talk about "product in its range" when C4 and D4 refer to neither.
The question is not "what is the percentage of achieving the objective."
So you must have a list of products belonging to a given range.
You must also have either sales figures or targets for each of these products and a total for the range.
You will then be able to calculate the share of a product within its range by dividing product/range.
Best regards.
