Hello,
My Freebox Crystal is stuck on error 4. I tried the hard reboot and the Ethernet cable but nothing works. I followed the user manual to the letter except for pressing the buttons on the front because there aren't any. I made sure that the powerline adapters are properly connected. If you have a solution, it would really help me out.
Configuration: iPhone / Chrome 46.0.2490.76

Hello, the same problem resolved easily in 5 minutes, if it can help...
Freebox crystal error 4 flash memory, connected to CPL socket
The solution is to update the Freebox crystal by unplugging it at the back and then plugging it back in while holding down the on/off button on the remote control. Release it when the Freebox indicates "firmware"
ONLY! For the update to complete and not get stuck at step 4, it is IMPERATIVE that it is connected with an Ethernet cable directly to the Freebox HD, and not with the CPL socket cable.
You must place the Freebox crystal next to the Freebox HD, unplug the Ethernet cable from the back of the crystal, and then connect an Ethernet cable directly to the back of the Freebox HD on any available port. (If you have a long enough Ethernet cable, there’s no need to move the Freebox crystal)
Reconnect the Freebox crystal while holding the on/off button on the remote control, release it when "firmware" appears, this time the update will go all the way, the Freebox crystal will turn back on, and the update is complete!
Unplug the Ethernet cable, reconnect the original CPL socket cable, reconnect the CPL socket, and it works! Yippee!
