Administrator account issues

Hello,

try this:

Press the "Windows" and "R" keys, or right-click on the Start button and then select Run.
Type: control userpasswords2 (copy and paste) or type: netplwiz
Select your account from the list
Uncheck the line "Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer."
Then click OK.

Then type your password twice and confirm (usual password or Microsoft account password)

Restart your computer

Right-click on the Start button or press Windows key+X

Command Prompt

Copy/paste this command:

net user administrator /active:yes (then press enter)

Then modify your account

Check if you see your user account like this:
Right-click on the Start button
File Explorer
Right-click on drive (C) then Properties
Security tab (here you see all accounts)
Users (your Name) (select it)
Then click on Edit
And check all Allow boxes
Apply OK
You may need to restart your computer

So you are not the administrator of the PC

Try safe mode to change your account and make it an administrator

Safe mode:
When you are on your session do:
- Ctrl + ALT + Delete
From there, hold down the SHIFT key until the procedure is complete. (SHIFT is the up arrow key, bottom left of the keyboard)
- Click on the power button at the bottom right of the screen, click on "Restart"
You are now on a blue page
Release the SHIFT key
Click on Choose an option

Restart (at the bottom of the window)
Choose F4 (safe mode)
Let Windows load
Once on the desktop, right-click on the Start button or press Windows+X on the keyboard
Control Panel
User Account
Change your account type
Check the administrator box

Try lowering the UAC level or disabling it in:

Control Panel > User Accounts > Change User Account Control settings.
