Hello, I have an Acer Aspire 7745G and since this morning, I can't type my password to log into my session. Yesterday before shutting it down, I ran a scan with Malwarebytes which reported no issues. But since this morning, I can't type my password even though the keyboard is perfectly functional. Thank you in advance for your help :)

Hello,
In the bottom right, you have an icon to open the virtual keyboard.
It should allow you to enter your password.
Give it a try.
It's explained here: https://www.malekal.com/windows-10-bloque-sur-la-page-des-mots-de-passe/
~~
You should also test safe mode: https://www.malekal.com/demarrer-windows10-mode-echec/
See if it starts.
If neither of the two solutions work:
Boot into the advanced system recovery options using method 1 from this page: Windows advanced recovery options.
The idea is to restart on the page where it asks for the password, using the icon in the bottom right while holding the shift key.
If you cannot reach the window where Windows asks for passwords due to a blockage or crash beforehand...
Turn off the computer twice during the Windows loading.
It will enter repair mode, which will also provide access to the advanced system recovery options.
(If booting into the advanced recovery options is impossible, you need to create a USB drive to boot from; there's a link on the previous page for that).
From Troubleshoot you can then try:
- launching a system restore to revert to a previous Windows configuration
- From the settings menu, restart Windows and go into safe mode, from there you can uninstall a problematic application like your antivirus
- Reset Windows 10 (this keeps your data but removes applications).
Please press a key to continue the disinfection...
