Bonjour,

Je viens de finir l'installation de Debian par (netinst) installation par le réseau à partir d'un CD minimal. J'ai choisi l'interface lxde
Le PC est encore plus lent que windows xp.

Je cherche donc un système fenêtrées qui est capable de lire des videos youtube html5 sans sacader.
Sur debian, en utilisation normale, c'est insupportable tellement c'est lent.

Existe t-il des services a désactiver comme sur xp ?

- Processeur intel celereron 1.1Ghz Coppermine
- Ram SDR 512 cadencé a 66mhz
- J'en déduis que la carte graphique est intégré a la carte mère avec 64Mo max dédier. Le nom de la carte mère est pour l'instant inconnu.
- Lecteur de CD

Bonne idée Mais j'ai un lecteur de CD et j'ai des cd de 700Mo.
J'ai remarqué, que la moitier des distributions ultra légère dépasse les 700 Mo pourtant les machine on très souvent un simple lecteur a l'époque.

a cette epoque on utilisais des disquettes donc aucun boot sur usb.

Moi j'ai un vieux barbone Asus avec 2 Giga de ram et un disque IDE (je m'en sert comme dépannage)qui date de mathuz, je te garantie que ça saccade à fond sur youtube, pourtant j'ai une Debian lxde strict minimum
A un moment donné le matériel ne suit plus ,il n'y a pas de mystères

Pour Youtube, tu peux le basculer en HTML5 via cette page https://www.youtube.com/supported_browsers si ton navigateur le supporte.

Pour le reste, comme le dit WarloG " A un moment donné le matériel ne suit plus ,il n'y a pas de mystères " Avec 512 de ram, tu ne dois plus pouvoir faire grand chose. Les Pc actuels disposent de 4 Go de ram en moyenne, soit 8 fois plus.

Ce que tu demandes est tout bonnement impossible. Quoi que tu fasses, ça saccadera toujours, c'est ton matériel qui est complètement dépassé : cpu, ram, video, rien ne va. C'est comme si tu mettais une voiture des années 20 sur une autoroute de nos jours : ça ne suit pas !

Oui je suis conscient que c'est impossible mais je pensais que du coté linux il y aurais un espoir. Ce n'est pas un problème de ram, avec 512 Mo je suis large.
xp = 77Mo avec des services et un démarrage sans antivirus.
et la xubuntu 30%.

mais dans tout les cas le cpu va très régulièrement a 100%.

j'ai reussi a installer xubuntu parceque jai la chance de garder quelque lecteur en depannage. xubuntu ce comporte plutot bien.
5 a 10s pour une recherche ou un démarrage d'une simple application.
XP sans y toucher fait pas mieux.
sur xubuntu j'ai l'avantage de ne pas prévoir d'antivirus, et les videos youtube saccade mais le son ne saccade pas. Le truc c'est que j'ai tricher en rajoutant en lecteur de dvd pour l'installation.

déjà, quel pilote graphique tu utilises ?
Même pourrie ta carte graphique supporte sans doute une accélération matérielle.

Peux-tu nous coller le résultat de

L'accélération matérielle est active. Elle est gérée par le pilote intel.

Puisque tu as mis un lecteur DVD, est-ce que tu arrives à en visionner un sans saccades ?
