Hello everyone,
I've been using a Sony soundbar (model sa-ct60) for a while without any issues, but today, when I try to turn it on, it lights up and then turns off by itself after two seconds.
Everything is properly connected; I even opened it up to see if anything had "moved," and everything seems to be in place, there are no suspicious smells either...
Could it be defective?

Hello everyone!
So, still without a response, I contacted Sony support online, but nothing came of it either!
I managed to find what I was looking for on the internet where someone had the same problem!
So, after disassembling my soundbar, I looked at the different capacitors (caps) and I saw one that was slightly bulging!
I replaced it, and there you go! The soundbar powers on without any issues.
Cost of the operation was 200 francs! Uh yes, I'm in New Caledonia, so that's Pacific Franc (CFP), which corresponds to about €1.60!

Thank you for your valuable help. Having the same problem and having tried everything, I just saw your message. As in your case, I have a swollen capacitor at the output of the switch-mode power supply transformer. I think it's the one causing me problems. I'm going to try to replace it.

Thank you very much, I just solved the problem, it will save me from having to buy a new soundbar.
