Good evening everyone! My problem is quite simple, yet I've searched everywhere and can't find any solution!
In fact, for a while now, the sound on my PC increases by itself sometimes: when I use the sound, it doesn't change. But when I leave it alone for a little while, it automatically increases until I press the "volume +" or "volume -" buttons.
Basically, I set my PC's volume to 30 and play a video. If I pause it and a few seconds later resume playback, the sound is as loud as if it were at 40. And as soon as I press "volume +" or "-", the small pop-up with the volume level will show 32 or 28, which proves that the sound was indeed at 30, and once I press, it drops suddenly to 30 again.
I don't know if this is very clear, but I hope it's enough.
P.S.: I'm using an ASUS RoG G750JH running Windows 10, and all my drivers are up to date.

The problem occurs everywhere, in fact, no matter what the sound comes from. When I launch a game, VLC, iTunes, anything, the problem arises.
I assume you have the Realtek driver, and it's up to date as you said.
Go to your Control Panel.
Then go to "Hardware and Sound"
And then open your Realtek control panel.
Go through all the tabs, you should have an option called "Volume Equalizer," that's simply the Loudness option.
If it's enabled, uncheck the box to see if there's a change.
And if not, check the box if it's unchecked, and run some tests.
Let me know if that solves your problem.!!!
