Microphone volume too low

Question

Hello everyone,

My problem is that when I speak into my microphone, I can't be heard. I tried raising the microphone volume (it's now maxed out) but it hasn't fixed anything, the sound is still too low.
I learned that there is a "boost" available in advanced settings, but as visible in this image: http://img183.imageshack.us/img183/1002/gristt7.png, I can't access advanced settings... Is there a solution to my problem? Thank you in advance.

Go to: -control panel --> sound --> recording --> click on the detected microphone --> properties --> levels and there you can increase it ;)

I have exactly the same problem, isn't it a Realtek issue by any chance for integrated sound cards??

Hello,  I solved the problem by checking the amp box /audio properties/audio/volume/advanced (microphone boost)/microphone amp. there is a microphone amp option in Realtek!  kind regards

I've turned the sound up to the max and checked the amplification. However, my microphone's sound is still low.
