Blue light at the top of the iPhone

Hello,

New to Apple, I realize after 5 months (and a drop with a broken screen, repaired by a professional) that my phone, like certainly all iPhones, has a blue light at the top left of the black "strip" (which is probably a speaker) or basically diagonally from the front camera. It's faint when I hold my phone in front of me, but I can see it better when I turn my phone to the left "profile." Being the curious person I am, I'm wondering about its usefulness, so I'm throwing this challenge to you.

Hello, there's no challenge, if the "black line" is on the glass of the iPhone, it is the speaker grille that allows you to hear your correspondent when you have the phone to your ear. If blue light is visible through the speaker grille, that is not "normal", the foam seal of the speaker may not be properly in place or may be completely missing.
The professional who did the repair did not do the job well. If the light is visible, dust and even water can very easily infiltrate the iPhone.
I have never seen an iPhone with visible blue light through the speaker grille.

I have the same blue light (a tiny blue dot) to the left of the speaker and not through the speaker?

Hello, the screen (image) does not reach the speaker grille, so if you see blue light near the grille or beside it, it is certainly light coming from the screen. If the glass has been replaced, it's possible that the foam seal is not correctly in place and is allowing light to pass through.
