Hello,
My computer screen turns off by itself while my PC continues to run. It's a Philips 15-inch, with an ATI All-in-Wonder 9800 graphics card. The last time this happened, Windows showed a blue screen stating that the problem was the ATI 2 DVAG driver was in a loop.
I reinstalled the Update program from the ATI technology site and the problem is still there and has worsened; I can't go further than the setup of my motherboard. So, the PC is unusable.
Help!!!

If your screen turns off by itself, here are the solutions:
* Check the connection via the cable between your screen and the graphics card.
* Check the power cable between your screen and the outlet.
* Check your power supply; it may be weakening.
* Reinstall your graphics card drivers.
* Run a virus scan with Avast / Bitdefender / Spybot and Avg Free (all these programs are free).
* Remove the graphics card from your motherboard and reseat it properly.
* Was your screen connected to a power outlet during a storm? => disassemble your screen and run your fingers everywhere to remove static electricity, do the same inside your motherboard.
* If it turns off every 15/20 minutes: right-click on the desktop => properties => screensaver => power management => monitor timeout never and sleep: never
* Is the connector for your PCI or AGP card failing? In that case, replace the motherboard.
* Update your BIOS from the motherboard manufacturer's website and the BIOS if you know how to.
* Is the BIOS properly configured? If not: del or f2 at startup, refer to your motherboard manual.
If it still doesn't work, you can come and ask your question on the forum.

Hello
Okay, but how can I access the screensaver settings, etc., if the screen does not turn on (in my case it shows "no signal, check signal cable")????
Hello,
it's another problem you have, create another post with all the information from your screen and your PC, what you've tested, if it worked, etc...
