Hello,
I just switched to MAC, and now I am really handicapped because I have lost a lot of features I had on PC.
The software Photofiltre offered me a well-made automation function:
I could select 100 photos and schedule a list of modifications to make on all of them. Like: resizing the photos in proportion and dimensions (number of pixels in height and width), then filling the empty space on the sides with a color like black, then choosing the quality of the saving to reduce the file size, and save all that. The same process was applied to all 100 photos, which allowed me to upload them to my website with a consistently identical format.
I could also schedule other actions like adjusting the light, contrast, or turning them black and white...
I otherwise work with GIMP, but this software lacks an automation function.
Can you recommend a software?
Thank you for your interest :)
Configuration: Mac OS X (10.10.4) / Safari 8.0.7

Good evening, there is a plugin for Gimp that is very good. It's the BIMP plugin.
You can check if you already have this plugin installed in your version of Gimp.
Just launch Gimp + File menu + Batch Image Manipulation. A window opens for you to import your images.
I have version 2.8.10 of Gimp but I don't remember if I installed the plugin myself.
If you don't have it in your current version of Gimp, the best thing for you would be to install Gimp 2.8.14 from this site because the plugin is already included:
http://gimp.lisanet.de/Website/Download.html
Here’s what the plugin can do:
https://alessandrofrancesconi.it/projects/bimp/
P.S. If you want to download and install the plugin yourself, you will need to unzip it and install it in the Gimp plug-ins folder.
Procedure:
Applications folder + right-click on GIMP.app and Show Package Contents.
In order:
Contents/Resources/lib/gimp/2.0/plug-ins
You just need to restart Gimp.

Dede74000 and Y3x:
Thank you very much for your answers!
I will try all that and will let you know if it works.

Hello,
the Bimp "Batch Image Manipulation" plugin was working perfectly.
However, recently I had to uninstall and reinstall Gimp. I have version Gimp 2.8.14 and yet I don’t see the "Batch image manipulation" function in the file menu.
I saw that Gimp has released version 2.8.16, does updating Gimp suffice to get version 16 or do I need to uninstall the old Gimp 14 to download the 16?
Otherwise, where can I download the BIMP plugin for Mac OSX? I can’t find it.
Thank you :)

Hello,
The update is applied on top of the current version.

It's crazy: I had "Batch image manipulator" on Gimp 2.8.14, then I uninstalled and reinstalled Gimp and I lost "Batch image manipulator". So I downloaded the Gimp 2.8.16 update but it doesn't include "Batch".
I clicked on your links Dede 74000 but it's all in English, incomprehensible. So on a whim, I clicked on some things and stuff, but nothing that allows me to download Bimp for Mac. Here’s yet another tool I needed that has vanished by miracle and I have no idea how to find it back...

Hi,
The latest version of Gimp, 2.8.16, does not include BIMP by default.
Its installation is a bit annoying,
but version 2.8.14 specially prepared with BIMP included is available here:
http://gimp.lisanet.de/Website/Download.html
Best regards
P.S.: Hi dede :)
