Hello,
Here's my problem: after several concerning crashes of my PC on which PhotoShop Element8 is installed, I decided to change PCs and I need to reinstall the software on the new PC.
I only have the digital version, as it was purchased online via download. So there’s no box with a license number. And I can’t find the email with the activation key that I received when I ordered.
Is there a way to find that number when opening the software? (Like in Lightroom, Pinnacle...). I only see a serial number, a sequence of 5 numbers of 4 digits. But that doesn't work during activation on my new PC...
Thank you for your help.

Hello
Install and run this on your old PC, it will give you your Photoshop serial

Once the report is generated, click on software licenses on the left

Thank you, it's a great app. I retrieved my license key in 2 minutes... which was indeed different from the one I had found, it was just the serial number!
Very nice of you to have shared this trick!
Thanks again
Have a good evening!
I completely agree with you, and it can't be said enough :P
More seriously, when I give an answer, I usually test it beforehand to see if it works for me, and it showed my Illustrator and Photoshop serials in 2 clicks, so there was no reason not to
Yes indeed, in the system information help, it's a serial number that has nothing to do with the serial
As for the Adobe IDs, they were only required to register Photoshop before, but not to activate it; it's since Creative Cloud and that all Adobe downloads go through them that it has become mandatory
I have 2 or 3 that I mostly forgot, anyway we all had to change them two years ago following a massive hacking of Adobe by hackers who retrieved all the Adobe IDs, the best way to forget them.
If you didn't register your Photoshop and without a proof of purchase in front of you, there's nothing to be done to recover it.
Happy for you
