Hello,
When starting the new version of Adobe Acrobat Reader DC 2015, the task pane (with options to export, create, modify, etc.) automatically opens, taking up half of the visual space.
I believe it is completely unnecessary in 99% of cases, and I wanted to know if there is a way to hide it at startup. I haven’t found it in the settings...
Thanks in advance!!
Configuration: Windows 7 / Firefox 38.0

Hello,
in this version of Reader, it is obvious that Adobe has made a mistake by not allowing the task (and tools) panel to be hidden.
A workaround has been proposed on Adobe's website:
Rename or move 3 files located in
C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Acrobat Reader DC\Reader\AcroApp\FRA
AppCenter_R.aapp
Home.aapp
Viewer.aapp
I tested it... It apparently works but does not allow the panel to be redisplayed. I don't use Reader enough to check if this generates other issues.
Otherwise, when opening your file, you can press CTRL H to benefit from reading mode. It's always faster than closing the panel.

Go to Edit / Preferences / Documents
On the right, among the options, check "Remember the current state of the Tools panel"
Close the window by clicking on "ok"
Close the Tools panel
Close the document
The next time you open it, the panel on the right will be hidden
