How to know if a friend has deleted their Snapchat account?

Hello,

I have a friend who tells me he deleted his Snapchat account, but the problem is that he still appears in my friends list as "pending."

Is this normal, or has he removed me from his friends and doesn't want to tell me?

I imagine both are possible, but I lean more towards the idea that he deleted his account because when you delete someone, they usually aren't pending; they always remain in your friends.

EDIT: Another possibility is that he deleted the Snapchat app thinking it would delete his account...

Yes, but when I "delete" him from my friends, I can automatically re-add him. If the account is deleted, the login should no longer exist, right?

Try sending him a Snap; if you can send it, that means he has removed you. Otherwise, if there's an exclamation point, it means he has either blocked you or deactivated his account. I don't know if we can tell if someone has blocked us, but you can always search online; there are probably answers!

Well no, when someone blocks you on Snap, that person's name automatically disappears from your friends list. If you don't see their score, it's probably because they deleted you or they have deactivated their account.
