Hello,

I hope I'm in the right section to post my issue.

I have a colleague who knows nothing about computers/smartphones, etc.

He recently bought a Samsung S4 as well as a tablet.
Without knowing how, you can almost see in real-time on his tablet the websites he visits via his phone.
He would like to cancel this "synchronization."

I've browsed through the phone's settings, but I can't find the solution, and since I don't have a tablet, Google searches have led me everywhere except to the specific topic, so I'm unable to help him on this one.

He uses Google to access the internet (the white G on a blue background).

This is not the browser, but just a feature for "searching" that should normally open a browser (Google Chrome, I suppose), and thus, see the first message.

Hello

in settings on phone and tablet, then accounts, you tap on your Google account and uncheck the internet sync box.

then still in settings, then apps, under the all tab, you look for your internet app, tap on it, and clear the cache and data...

No, it's not crazy... it's Google's environment that's like that... the same goes if it were under a Windows Phone environment... it's just because he used the same account on both... if there were 2 separate accounts, there would be no problem...

Normally, no problem at all, unless he has expressly authorized (and therefore activated) it.

I use the same account on my 3 devices and I've never had an issue, because I never activated the option when the browser asked me if I wanted to do so. ;-)

you yes but apparently he does not. can you tell me how many people read the slightest notification or warning? not many, we just press yes or ok and off we go.. we're used to it here now and this is said without malice... how many people read their manual? or, for example, ask you where can I find the manual for my Samsung, etc.... no, the trend is I buy and if I don't know, I will ask others even for basic operations.. well, we deal with it..... amicably...

I’m not saying otherwise... ;-)

But it's not a "problem" related to the accounts (as the message might suggest when read as is), but rather a problem between the screen and the touch (no keyboard, need to adapt!) ;-)

So, it's almost possible to see in real-time, etc., just like a tablet... a bit convoluted as a formulation...

So for me, since he uses the same email account, he just needs to uncheck the internet sync option on his tablet and his S4... then we'll see if he can be more specific, but he is asking the question for his colleague; it might be a poor formulation...
