Hello,
I know this has been asked many times on many forums, etc... but nothing works for me and it's really frustrating.
I'm on Windows 7 and I would like to record the sound that comes from my headset (Siberia V2). I have Audacity. I tried to enable stereo mix in the control panel, then in Audacity's Recording settings: Stereo Mix.
But when I start recording, the waveform remains flat and nothing is recorded, do you know why?
Thank you.

    Hello
so if I understand correctly, you want to record the sound you hear in your headphones / from Windows since the sound source comes from the PC. Let me know if I'm mistaken.

    Best regards

That's it, I would like to listen to the radio with my headphones and record what I hear.

Okay, on Audacity, logically you have a microphone, and on the side, a sliding bar, you click on the sliding bar, and you select Windows sound mapper ...
      And logically, that's it.

But as I mentioned in my first post, I have already tried that, but it doesn't work, unless there are special options in Audacity to configure, this method doesn't seem to work for me.

Edit: I should clarify that if I record the sound from my microphone on Audacity it works perfectly, but I can't get it to work for the headset.

      Sorry, that's not it...
First, click on the dropdown menu located before the microphone (MME), then select Windows WASAPI. After that, click on the dropdown menu after the microphone and choose Speakers. And that's it! (logically)

Thank you very much!!! I hadn't tried changing the MME option.

Hello, do you have a microphone input and a sound input? If not, does that mean you have only one input?

the USB is meant to power the headset

Do you hear the sound coming from the headset (music, games...)?

And, didn't you take the microphone input?

What do you mean? A jack plug? My headset is only connected via USB, there are no other cables.

That's what I don't understand. Well, let's try anyway, plug in your headphones, and of course your microphone, go down to the right and right-click on the volume. Select recording devices. Once you're there, let me know what you see.

Last test, if my message appears 6 times later, I'm sorry. (It's not my fault if it bugs~~)
I remind you that I want to record the sound from my headset (not from my microphone)
      In the panel:
      Stereo mixing enabled by default
      Siberia v2 microphone enabled
