hello everyone,

so here's my very important issue since last night:

I restarted the PC and I don't know why, but the mouse and keyboard stop working when Windows starts and I find myself on the admin password screen unable to do anything.
I thought it was the motherboard but when I go into the BIOS, the keyboard and mouse work.
I actually looked at the part regarding the USB ports and they all seem to be enabled.
I checked online with my laptop and tried a ton of solutions that didn't change anything such as:

- opened the case and checked that everything was properly connected
- unplugged everything from the PC overnight and all day (USB cables, Wi-Fi card, etc.)
- tried with other mice
- reset the tower (held the power button for about 30 seconds)
- updated the BIOS
- removed the BIOS battery and updated to the latest version
- repaired the computer from F8
- restored from the latest backup (tried even 3 different ones)
- Windows memory diagnostic

and with all that, still the same issue, mouse frozen in the middle of the screen.

however, only safe mode worked but that doesn't solve the problem in normal mode.
in safe mode, I went into the device manager and only one seemed to be incorrectly installed:
Intel(R) USB3.0 Extensible Host Controller

I'm at a loss, it's a bit of a panic, I don't understand, what should I do??

thank you for your replies.

best regards.

Do you think that reinstalling Windows could solve the problem? Or formatting the hard drive?
Because right now I don't see any other options.
