Keyboard and mouse no longer working - Windows 10

Hello,

I'm seeking help here because after all the searches on various forums, I still haven't resolved my issue.

Here's the problem:

I was on the computer when I plugged my phone into my PC via USB to recharge it. At that moment, my mouse stopped moving, and my keyboard was only half working (which was quite strange; I can't tell you more about that). So, I restarted my computer, and once I was on the welcome page with the nice wallpaper and my username, I was stuck without being able to enter my password.
A colleague who is an IT professional and a friend of my father took some time to look into the problem. The only thing found was that I can only access my PC with an old keyboard with the old purple connector, and since I only have one port of that type, I can only connect one device, in this case, the most logical choice is to connect a keyboard—the one I'm talking about.
As a result, I don't know how to recover my USB keyboard and mouse, which work perfectly on other PCs.

Here's what I've tried:

Clear CMOS (with the battery) - using another keyboard, another mouse - booting in safe mode - unplugging the computer and holding the power button for 20 seconds...

But none of that works; moreover, in the BIOS, the keyboard and mouse work perfectly.

Anyway, I'm lost...

Thank you to anyone who takes the time to respond to me.
Best regards,

    Hi,

    "Here’s what I tried:

Clear CMOS (with the battery) - use another keyboard, another mouse - boot in safe mode"

    - How did you start Safe Mode? (because under Win 10, it's particular)
    - Did you manage? (because it’s likely that the phone driver has caused quite a mess) >>> it’s a good option to start the PC in 'minimum service' mode to diagnose the problem

      Hello,

I was able to launch safe mode via the startup menu by restarting the PC three times during startup.

But there is something stranger; my brother had the same issue three days later, the common factor being the motherboard.
I don't think it's the phone's problem, but rather the motherboard issue.

Hi > it's likely that the power supply to the USB ports on the motherboard has taken a hit...
Difficult to diagnose from a distance...
