Hello,
After freshly installing Ubuntu 14.04 on my new laptop, Firefox won't open anymore. When I click on Firefox in the dash, the Firefox icon flickers, then it doesn't open.
I tried rebooting, doing sudo apt-get update, uninstalling Firefox and then reinstalling it, nothing works, Firefox refuses to open, while Chromium works just fine, but I want Firefox.
What can I do to reopen Firefox? PS: I don’t have anything on it yet, so if I need to reinstall Ubuntu...
Thank you.
Specification: Ubuntu 14.04 LTS/Firefox 36.0

Hello Interrupt the Firefox process
If Firefox did not close normally during your last use, Firefox may still be running in the background, invisibly.
Restart your computer to see if the issue is resolved.
Linux Ubuntu
1.Click on System and choose Administration
2.In Administration, click on System Monitor. You will find firefox-bin there, one or more times.
3.Select the list and click on End Process for each of them.
If this solution doesn’t work, try the others on this page https://support.mozilla.org/fr/kb/message-firefox-en-cours-execution-ne-repond-pas-resoudre-probleme
