big problem Instagram hashtag! Solved

Question

Hello everyone!
I have a problem with my Instagram account... When I post a photo, I put hashtags in the "description" (like many people do) and after publishing my photo, only my followers can see it, meaning that my photo doesn't show up in the lists of the hashtags I used for my photo. I know it's not very clear... But for example, I post a food picture and add the hashtags "#food" and "#cool". Well, this photo will only show in my followers' feeds; if I search for #food, my photo won't be there, not even right after posting it. Basically, no one can see my photos except my followers.
This problem happens periodically; this is the second time. The first time it lasted a month and it fixed itself without me doing anything, but now it's starting to last and I really don't know what to do... Help please! The problem doesn't come from my iPhone but really from my Instagram.

Hello hello,

Having encountered the same problem (and also feeling a bit miffed), I conducted my little investigation.
It seems that Instagram changed its policy regarding hashtags last week. As MrAymeric16 indicated, photos now appear in the feed as soon as they are published, not when you add a tag to them.

I think it's because your posts are private; you can disable that in "edit profile" and at the bottom, you deactivate "posts are private." I'm not sure, but try it.

Hi, I have the same problem! It's really annoying for me, I put hashtags and my photo doesn't show up with them. It's frustrating especially since I take photos. I tried using about 10 hashtags and it works but it's really strange, apparently you can only use very few. Check out my profile: aleex_benz

I encountered the same problem as all of you, and I think that in reality, the photo does indeed appear in the list of the chosen hashtag but is sorted relative to other photos SOLELY based on its publication date. So, given that on popular hashtags, the frequency of publication is very important, our photo quickly ends up very far down the hashtag list. I'm putting forward this possibility because before, if it worked, it was because the comment date alone represented its position in the list and not the publication date; it was enough to publish the hashtag again in a comment to increase its visibility.
I hope my explanations have been clear enough. I am not absolutely certain of what I am proposing; it is just a hypothesis to try to understand this problem.

I had the same problem and in fact, you shouldn't use more than 20 hashtags, otherwise your hashtags appear in your caption but do not show up in the hashtag feed.

Hello,

This problem happened to me suddenly, using no more than 10-15 hashtags. I tried varying them and reducing their number to a minimum, but the result is the same. On my new posts, the hashtags no longer work. After several checks, I noticed that my photos only appear for a few seconds in their respective sections and then are only visible to my followers or to those who specifically visit my profile. Thus, the visibility of my posts is reduced to a minimum.

I tested the solution mentioned somewhere about linking FB and Instagram accounts. Nothing changed.

Has anyone found an effective solution to this problem?

I think I have the solution: your hashtags are not working because you are copy-pasting them. I typed them manually and now they appear on the hashtag feed in question.

Good evening,
I have the same problem too, but I don't copy/paste the hashtags...
I have no likes other than those from my followers, even though my hashtags seem to be working since they are written in blue...
Has anyone found a solution to this problem??
This has been happening since I deleted and recreated my Instagram account.
It's really strange and no one knows why or has any explanations.
