Using Windows Movie Maker 2.6 with Windows 8

I just downloaded Windows Movie Maker 2.6, but it seems that it is incompatible with Windows 8...
What do you recommend I do?

      I still had to uninstall version 2.6 in order to download version 2012. It's working well now.

      I uninstalled version 2.6, but when I try to download version: Windows Essential 2012, I get an error message that prevents the update:

      The program was not installed because another program is interfering with the update:

      Error: 0x80070643
      Source: crt90-i386

      Can someone help me?
