Hello, I have a problem with Windows Movie Player. Every time I want to add music to my montage, it says this:
Unable to import C:\Documents and Settings\kawoline\Bureau\music\Sisquo - Thong Song.mp3. The selected file is not valid or is corrupted.
What can I do to successfully add mp3 music?
THANK YOU/

Hello everyone,
So my problem is that when I put a video on Windows Movie Maker, the video plays but the audio from the video doesn't work!
What should I do?
Thanks in advance =) -
I almost didn't respond, but I thought that I had been in the same mess lol I actually found the solution!!!!!!!! We don't know why WMM suddenly doesn't accept MP3 music anymore like that, but actually, you have to convert them to WMA files and everything goes smoothly, plus it's really quick to do with the Free Mp3 Wma Converter software. There you go, I hope it works! ;)

Good evening,
For it to work, I just had to save my Movie Maker project, then close the Movie Maker software.
Then we reopen the Movie Maker project and everything is fine!

I have exactly the same problem, I import a video, I have the image but no sound in Movie Maker. Did you find the solution?
If anyone knows how to proceed, please help me... -
Hello everyone
Sorry for the delay, but I just had the same problem and I have the solution!!!
You need to install or reinstall the K Lite Codec Pack Full
https://www.commentcamarche.net/telecharger/tv-video/13169-k-lite-codec-pack-full/
Be careful during installation to uncheck the toolbars and other stuff!!
And then everything will be back to normal, I was able to use Windows Movie Maker without any problems and add my mp3s without any issues!!
I hope I was able to help you -
Hello, I had exactly the same problem. You need to right-click on the music in your documents
and go to properties and check read-only. Since I did that, it works for me and it's pure happiness!! -
I just found the solution to the problem!!!!!!!! I also couldn't hear the music I had imported, even though it was working perfectly before. I uninstalled K-Lite Codec and the music is working again ^^ a codec must have caused the Windows Movie Maker player to malfunction ^^

Hello everyone! Well, for me it's not quite the same, my problem is with videos. When I try to upload one (which was originally taken from my phone), it doesn't align with the images: the video replaces the audio track, I don't know why, and when I hit play, I have neither sound nor image from the video... I don't know what to do, thanks for helping me :)

Hello, I have the same problem and I'm really starting to get fed up... I spend my time trying to figure out why, after I try to import a sound, a message appears saying that the file is invalid or damaged.
I don't understand anything anymore... please help me quickly...
Thanks in advance -
Thank you very much! I just downloaded it and I'm finally able to import the sounds... of course, you have to use the program to convert the mp3 files to wma... but it's actually easy... Thank you!

I have a problem importing sound into Windows Movie Maker, but it's only related to music downloaded legally from Virgin Mega after paying for it. I get this message: The file C:\Documents and Settings\utilisateur\Mes documents\Ma musique\Partons vite.wma is protected with digital rights management and cannot be imported.
Is there a way to bypass this issue since I have the digital rights and licenses since I purchased the file?
Thank you for your help. -
