Hello,

I bought the Epson XP-422 printer last week, the scanner worked perfectly from the first use and now when I want to scan again, it gives me the message: "Communication error. Connect the computer."

I uninstalled the printer and reinstalled it, still nothing.
I removed the device from the Wi-Fi network and reinstalled it, still nothing.

Can you help me please?

Good evening,
Are you connected with a cable?

No, it's via Wi-Fi; it was working perfectly until now, and recently my printer no longer detects my computer.

Use a cable instead if possible. It only takes a little for the wifi to be disrupted. You can go to your office to test the printer's wifi connection.

I don't know much about office and computer use (I just know how to use a keyboard, browse the internet, download files, and some basic stuff), what are the steps to test my printer's Wi-Fi?

You need to know your office as well as your home, because when you're going to have computer troubles (and you will have them!), you will need to navigate through the menus and submenus to find your way. Having an XP-215 printer, I connected it with a cable when I realized the headache of connecting it via Wi-Fi. However, if we can test the Wi-Fi line between a PC and a modem, I think we can find an equivalent for the printer. Go to your office and click on the XP-422 icon. My operating system is Windows 8.
