Hello,
The message: An ink pad for the printer (Epson XP-422) is at the end of its life. Contact Epson support.
What should I do? Can I replace it myself, do you have a tutorial and a site where I could order it?
Thank you for your response!
Best regards,
JV

This tutorial shows how to clean and restore the waste pad. This allows the print head to clean itself by suctioning ink because there is generally a mini-pump behind these pads that redirects the ink to larger absorbent pads placed under the printer chassis.
These are the pads that need to be replaced (and incidentally reset the counter to zero!).
I couldn't find a tutorial for the XP-422, but here’s an idea of what to do on an XP-750.
