Hello,
I have a report with many bookmarks and cross-references.
I am over 100 pages and I'm getting a bit lost in my cross-references.
I managed to display the bookmarks for easier retrieval, but can we do the same with the cross-references?
Thank you in advance,
Carla
Configuration: Mac OS X (10.10.1) / Safari 8.0

Hello Carla,
I'm on PC, but there's probably an equivalent on Mac.
Bookmarks are identifiable by the [ ] that surround them.
As for the references, they are "field codes" that can be shown/hidden using the key combination ALT F9. The downside: it takes up space in the text and affects readability.
Otherwise, there’s an option that allows you to display these codes on a gray background.
On PC, you need to go to Word Options, Advanced Options, the section "Show document content," and choose "Always" from the dropdown list "Fields with Shading."
If you managed to display the bookmarks, it's in the same place.
