Hello,
I’m tearing my hair out...
I know Illustrator well, I've been using it for several years, but right now... I’m at an impasse, RIDICULOUS!
I just want to know how to enlarge or reduce a text box WITHOUT affecting the size of the text. Before it was sooooooo simple, you just had to click on the little squares and stretch it as you wanted!! And now I can't, damn it... every time it distorts my text...
Well, thanks in advance to whoever saves my nerves tonight....
Elodie

There is no text block in Illustrator like there is in InDesign for example. Here, the lines of text are independent and form a whole. So if you pull on the box, you deform it..
But there is "contained" text, and that may be what you are talking about. To do this, there is a specific tool and the text is placed within a frame that you would have previously drawn. In this case, this frame can be resized independently of the text, which does not move... But you must create a frame first.
