Windows search bar not working

Solved

Hello,

For the past few days, I can no longer use the search bar in the Windows 10 taskbar; I can't type anything in the "Search Windows" box (or open the magnifying glass icon, depending on the display mode). However, everything else in the taskbar works fine (Start menu, etc.).

While browsing the forum, I tried, just in case, to restart the Windows Search service (Run → "services.msc" → Windows Search → "Automatic" + restart), but nothing works.

If anyone knows a solution, I would appreciate it :)
Thanks in advance!

    Hello,

    post found on the net

here is the method I found:
    CTRL + ALT + DELETE
In the task manager, advanced processes: end task on Windows Explorer.
Then, go to file run, check administrator privileges, and then type cmd.
    Then, on c:\windows\system32> shutdown /r then enter/validate
    and it restarts!

      Hello,

It seems to me that I had tried that too, but without success (the other functions of the taskbar were functional, like the start menu, etc.)

It worked! I closed explorer.exe / then executed the file explorer.exe / my start menu search bar is working again. Thank you!
