Hi, I have a TV (Grandin) with only one HDMI port and no optical connection, and a PS4 that I connect via HDMI ^^
But I would like to buy a soundbar and my question is: can I connect the PS4 to the soundbar via HDMI using an 'in' port and then connect the TV to an 'out' port to get the PS4's image on the TV and the sound on the soundbar?
Knowing that the PS4 also has an optical port in the worst-case scenario.

I am considering a Sony HT-CT60H or a Samsung, but I've looked quickly and prefer to gather information first because no salesperson is able to answer me. However, the soundbar will have at least one HDMI input, one output, and an optical input for a future TV.
Good evening,
Could you please provide me with the brand and the EXACT MODEL of EVERY DEVICE? This is to better inform you about the connections to be made. The references are generally indicated on the back of the devices.
P.S.: No indications like "Samsung 102cm," as that is not a reference, but rather something like this example: "SAMSUNG UE40C5100 - 102 cm"
Best regards and thank you for your understanding.

Alcohol solves nothing, that said, water and milk don't either ;-)

TV GRANDIN LD32C14 - 81 cm
PS4 from PlayStation ^^
and soundbar I don't know yet as I mentioned earlier, I've looked at it quickly and I haven't bought it yet. For now, I'm more attracted to a Samsung HWH430 model or a Sony HT CT60H, at least in this price range, knowing that my budget goes up to a maximum of 240 because I don't want to invest too much. It's for a bedroom, and I don't want professional equipment either, but something that works well with a good quality/price ratio.

There will be a solution, which is to use the SCART output as an audio output.
For this, you will need the following:
1) SCART TO RCA ADAPTER with an IN/OUT switch:
2) MALE RCA TO MALE STEREO JACK 3.5 CABLE:
When purchasing your future soundbar, you should check carefully, and if needed, ask the seller, to ensure that the soundbar indeed has a 3.5 stereo jack audio INPUT.
Regarding these 2 models of soundbars, both have a JACK analog INPUT, so there’s no issue connecting it to the TV.
They both also have an optical INPUT, so there are no concerns there either.
It's up to you to see which one is more advantageous for you, but one thing, don't buy just for the design or appearance, as it’s not its looks that will make the sound better on one or the other.
Focus on the advantages in terms of connectivity and functionalities.
It would be even better to visit a store where these 2 models are displayed to get an idea of the audio output of each.
There you go, if you have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask ;-)

Yeah, I noticed the sound output, but it's the same in-store; the sound doesn't have the same quality in a small room. What I'm looking for is mainly a subwoofer to have better sound quality and to make sure it can adapt to a future purchase of a 4k or curved TV, we'll see, but I think the issue won't arise.
So, I connect the regular HDMI and on the SCART I only connect the white and red cables, and then the jack to the soundbar? Otherwise, I have a headphone output and a jack/jack cable; can that work without having to buy a SCART adapter? In terms of sound, how does the jack compare to HDMI/optical? With the jack, is the sound quality decent or not great?

I hadn't read that your TV had a headphone output; indeed, you can use this method, but there is a big loss of signal, and you'll have to significantly increase the volume; it's really the last resort, but it works as well.
For the connections:
1) HDMI OUT PS4 <- HDMI CABLE -> HDMI IN TV.
2) OPTICAL OUT PS4 <- OPTICAL CABLE -> OPTICAL IN SOUNDBAR.
3) TV JACK OUT <- MALE STEREO 3.5 JACK CABLE -> JACK IN SOUNDBAR.
With these connections, the sound from your PS4 will come out of the soundbar via the optical connection, and the sound from your TV (channels) will also come out of the soundbar.
Connection 2) is not mandatory, but for sound quality in games, it's preferable.
If you wish, I can provide you with a connection diagram in image form.

No, it's fine, I'll check later for the TV channels, it's not a big deal, I have decent sound with the TV and I rarely watch the crap offered by TNT ^^ it's more for games and music, but I wanted to know if I could get good TV sound by going through the HDMI of the soundbar, but using the optical cable from the PS4 to the soundbar will be enough for now :)
In any case, thank you for your help and for shedding light on the subject
Have a good evening!

No problem, with pleasure ;-)
Later, when you have bought your soundbar and made the connections, it would be really nice to get some feedback if possible ;-)
Best regards and have a good evening ;-)
P.S.: Please don't start another topic for that; just insert a reply. But for now, if you think it's appropriate, please mark the topic as resolved (under your title), thanks ;-)
