Hello,
So here it is, I've had my new (second-hand) laptop for about a week now and I've tried to install some games (Minecraft, SimCity, Far Cry...). Minecraft works perfectly, SimCity too, but with Far Cry, whether it's the 3 or the 4, it says "The application failed to start correctly (0xc000007b). Click OK to close the application."
I've done some research online and tried a lot of things that people suggested, like reinstalling all the Visual C++, framework, etc., but all have failed..
Hoping someone has an answer.. thanks in advance.

Lots of solutions here, have you done everything already?

I've already taken a look, DirectX is indeed installed on my PC and I even tried uninstalling and reinstalling it properly.
It could be related to the DLLs since all this started when I wanted to solve the problem with Far Cry 4, it was telling me that a DLL was missing, so I downloaded it, then another one was missing and I downloaded that too.
Is it possible to do a sort of cleanup of the DLLs? To restore everything to its original state without necessarily having to do a "reset"?
