Hello,

I am looking for the driver for my HP Photosmart B109-a printer for Windows 8.1.

I have already spent hours trying to install this printer using the supplier's installation assistance, through various methods, and the result is always the same: "driver unavailable" or "requests troubleshooting."
Can you help me?
Thanks to everyone

Configuration: Windows / Firefox 32.0

    Good evening,
Disconnect the printer from the PC and restart the computer.
Download, save, and install the complete suite of drivers/software PS_AIO_06_B109a-m_NonNet_Full_Win_140_404-4.exe.
Connect the printer when the installation procedure specifies.
    Best regards.

    Thank you glg29.
I did numerous tests throughout the night: disconnected the printer, restarted the computer, downloaded, installed, either directly through the download file "Run as administrator," or through the installation wizard and the result is always the same after extraction, nothing.
I also used the compatibility troubleshooter and the file in question is compatible with Win 7, so I went through Properties to request compatibility for Win 8. The program is incompatible.
Is there really no other solution than changing the printer?

      Hello,
Before proceeding as suggested in the first response, did you already have the drivers for this printer installed on the PC? Did you have any previous installations, in fact?
Try this: disconnect the printer from the PC, remove all traces of the HP Photosmart b109-a printer from the computer; nothing should be left.
Restart the PC and follow the link provided in the first response for a new attempt, do not connect the printer, wait until the procedure specifies to do so.
The drivers are available on the HP website; I don’t see why you would need to invest in another printer, there must be a way to make it work, after all!
      Best regards.

Thank you for your valuable help.
I just double-checked. I only have the HP Support Solutions Framework.
If I follow your link, HP can't find the page. I used the HP Hardware Detector which directed me to PS_AIO_06_B109a-m_NonNet_Full_Win_140_404-4.exe and that doesn't work.

      Good evening,
Maybe try the Printer Setup Assistant.
      Best regards.

      Good evening glg29,
I tried the assistant and it doesn't work.
I used the "troubleshoot compatibility" function and the report indicates "incompatible program".
I also made a call on the HP forum = no response from them since yesterday morning.
      Thank you for being there.

Surprising that everything you try doesn't work!
Other than that, do you have any problems with your computer?
      See you later!

      Indeed, it's very surprising.
Especially since the printer was working perfectly under Win 7. I replaced my computer in April 2014 and therefore switched to Win 8. At that time, I was already unable to install the program, but I gave up thinking that the driver was not yet compatible with Win 8.
I am not encountering any other issues with my new computer.

      Ultimately, it's Windows 8 or 8.1, I'm not sure!
Is the version of Windows 32 or 64 bits?
I just checked the link and indeed, no effect.
I'll see if there's a possibility to find a driver on the US site.
      See you!
