Hello everyone,
This computer only started in Safe Mode.
I tried to reset it to factory settings; the operation worked, but when starting the computer it runs normally until it displays a black screen and nothing else!
I removed the memory sticks, tried with one of them, then the other, nothing better.
Removed the hard drive to check connections and reinstalled it, nothing better.
Has this problem happened to anyone and most importantly, what possibilities are there to solve the issues?
It always starts normally in Safe Mode, but in this way it does not want to proceed with the initial Windows first startup.
Operating system Windows 7 64-bit.
Thank you for any suggestions.
Best regards.

Configuration: Windows 7 EFP 64bits
Firefox 31.0

Hello. The simplest thing if you have the license is to reinstall Windows 7, you’ll start from a clean base. It’s just a personal opinion. Best regards

Hello gironsul,
Thank you for your response.
This is what should normally have happened once I reset it to factory default settings, I don't have any 64-bit Windows 7 DVD.
What is surprising, before this factory reset, is that it worked in Safe Mode, so, in my view, it is not a graphical problem, otherwise the screen would also be black in that mode!
Best regards.

I think it's the system that has a flaw and that's why I was thinking about reinstallation, there are links to download seven on a bootable CD but I don't know how to do that, I clone all my PCs directly, that way I'm never bothered by HDDs / systems seven / vista. There is only 8.1 (which I don't use for the moment because I don't like it) that I haven't cloned at all. Isn't there someone in your circle who has this CD? Or the repair CD but I'm afraid it won't be enough (to try if you want, lost for lost ...). Good luck for what's next.

I need to be able to find the DVD in question, but I still wonder, as you specify, if the system has a flaw, why would it work in safe mode in this case?
Best regards.

Safe mode is a sort of "rescuer" mode, it doesn't have all the features, far from it.

Indeed, you may be right; beforehand, I hadn’t thought about the BIOS configuration, which I will check. If there is nothing to do at this level, we will probably need to apply your suggestion. Thank you for your cooperation.
Sincerely.

Hello,
I have the same problem... my computer only starts in safe mode!
It's an HP G72-b53sf; the ATI HD5470 graphics card seems not to work at first glance... and in safe mode access is very limited!
Is it possible to change the graphics card?
Or is there another way to repair my computer?
Thank you
