Hello everyone, so here it is, like many of you I think, I downloaded the long-awaited new demo of FIFA 15! But then... When I launch the application via Origin, the FIFA setup launches, I click on play and then I receive an error message from Microsoft.net telling me

"An unhandled exception has occurred in your application. If you click Continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. If you click Quit, the application will close immediately.

Object reference not set to an instance of an object."

I then click on Details and it shows me a long series of messages

"See the end of this message for more details on the just-in-time (JIT) debugging call instead of this dialog box.

    There's a file to download, and make sure to set up the configuration like the guy shows in the first second

    Now it's telling me that I don't have the right graphics card ;)

      Yes, it's the end of the 800 x 600 resolution at a minimum .. lol .. I need to change mine too; it supports DX11 but is barely compatible with the new low resolution of FIFA 15, which is 1700 by 1200, I think .. it's a shame, I have FIFA 14 and it runs perfectly .. the evolution costs a lot, I just caught a glimpse of the demo match Liverpool vs Man City. Very, very nice visually. Only my FPS can’t keep up anymore.

    You don't understand that this solution only works for the DEMO!!! A guy like me who bought the full game doesn't have the dxcpl.exe file and so we're still stuck!! Thank you for helping those who bought the game.

        Hello, I keep getting the same message that the game won't start, I'm really frustrated, especially since I didn’t have any issues with previous FIFAs and my PC is less than 3 years old.
        I called customer service and they told me it’s because my laptop isn’t compatible to run it, I’m not really buying that.

    Thank you all for your responses, the solution with the software 'dxcpl.exe' worked, but once the game started I'm not even getting 1 frame per second.. A new graphics card has been ordered! Hoping that I won't need to change the processor afterwards. Have fun gaming everyone!

    Well, I don't know if you're following the video, it should work, the problem is normally resolved for everyone by following the tutorial. Redownload the file, reinstall it, and open it. Browse the two FIFA 15 command lines in your program files, put DirectX 11 at the bottom of DXCPL, apply it, and launch your setup. The game will start. Review the video again and pay close attention to his method. By the way, what error message appears when you launch the game?

    Hi friends, I have a solution for those who couldn't find where dxcpl was.
    Like me, you must have done a Google search and downloaded tons of stuff that are useless. Just before I was about to give up, I found something that should be enough for you (at least I hope so).

    Hello .. I signed up just to reply because I had the same issue which, for me, was resolved thanks to the video mentioned above https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JmnrzmdfbJU .. make sure to follow the instructions in it, namely that for it to work I had to force the wrap all the way down and set DirectX 11.1 otherwise the error message would keep appearing .. especially make sure to add the 2 command lines fifa config exe and fifa 15 demo exe; there you go; enjoy

    Thank you all for your very clear explanations. I had given the game to my son for his birthday and it worked on the desktop but not on the portable –> incomprehensible. I followed the tutorial after downloading the app and EVERYTHING IS FINE. I woke him up this morning with the good news, he’s jumping around like a lamb!!!

    First try a restore if the problem has just occurred.

    I haven't encountered this issue, but there are solutions on Microsoft for similar problems; like uninstalling and reinstalling the .NET framework and maybe using a "NET framework cleaner" before reinstallation:

    Well, you needed to add fifaconfig.exe AND fifa15_demo.exe to the dxcpl.exe configuration and choose the graphics card level (DX10, 11)...

    Hello, I bought the game FIFA 15 and I had the same problem as all of you, it would open but display this message that forced me to quit, so I couldn't play it!
    So I went to check this forum and I followed your advice but unfortunately I still couldn't manage it!
    I downloaded the dxcpl file and did all the necessary manipulations but since I don't have the fifa15_demo file, I couldn't do them correctly!
    I still can't open it so I still can't play it --'
    If someone could help me, it would be greatly appreciated!
