Hello,

I'm currently trying to disassemble my computer to clean it, but while taking off the keyboard to remove the large plate, there are 2 connectors attached with 1 blue tab (not the keyboard). My question is just to know how to remove these 2 tabs in order to then take off the large plate.

    Hello,

The model is not precise enough. That said, for most laptops, it is better to avoid disassembling it if you're not quite sure how to do it.
These two tabs can be simply secured on their slot; by gently pulling back you should be able to remove them, but without forcing and without pressure!
Otherwise, please give us the exact model of your Asus X55VD so we can find more precise information.

I feel like it's not the same socket as in the video, but it looks similar. I took a photo, here it is: http://img4.hostingpics.net/pics/874078DSC0013.jpg
    How do I remove this?

And Sipherion, I don't quite understand what you mean by the exact model?

No, it's my fault. When I searched online, it found all sorts of complementary references; I thought this reference was incomplete. Looking again, I found what I was looking for. It was too early in the morning at 11:19 AM :-)

Oh yes, I almost forgot ^^
Do you have small legs on both sides of the tablecloth? I can't see it well in your photo. Legs that you could spread apart to free the tablecloth.

No, there are none. Maybe if we pull on it with tweezers it could work, right?

Normally, everything that can be removed should be able to be done "easily" by hand.

Using tweezers is a bad idea.
